Yoga with Eve

After ten years of teaching secondary Maths I saw an opportunity of how to help young people feel more confident and at peace with themselves. I want to support young people, teaching them how to control their emotions and thoughts that will serve them beyond the classroom into later life.

I believe a wellbeing programme can reduce absenteeism, raise confidence and equip students with much needed quiet time so that they can make more informed choices day to day. The longer term benefits in providing a consistent opportunity to relax and reflect, will enable students to escape the constant social media bubble.

I would encourage students to bring along a notebook to track their yoga journey recording feelings, thoughts and questions that they think about during this time of quiet. I believe they will discover more about themselves and what is important to them so they can find the path that is right for them in the future. The journal is a powerful tool to help track progress as well as organise thoughts, relieve stress, increase creativity, improve literacy, set and achieve goals.
